  • Your passion is the development / evaluation / modernization / coaching of cyber security organizations. Information protection and protection against industrial espionage are close to your heart, but you also have an eye on cyber security in development and production
  • You want to ensure that a cyber security organization is perceived as a supporter of innovation and not a perennial obstacle
  • You are interested in business continuity & resilience and supply chain risks from a cyber security perspective
  • You are familiar with the relevant cyber & IT security standards as well as the problems of implementing them in medium-sized companies with a hands-on culture, as well as in large corporations
  • The drafting of policies and their review does not scare you; concrete feasibility is more important to you than completeness
  • You think in terms of structural quality, process quality and, in particular, quality of results
  • It is clear to you that you will only make a recommendation for action if it will actually help against a current threat
  • You are constantly coming up with new, clever services that are more ingenious than the others in the market

That's a lot - but not quite everything:

  • You want to go to conferences, help organize internal Eat & Fun events, write articles or give presentations – constantly learning new things and developing yourself is important to you
  • You have a good feel for technology; it is your duty to pick up the technical lessons learned from the technical cyber security experts in our team
  • You are also interested in the traditional security topics of the other departments, because cooperation is what makes us successful as a company
  • Working hours: 9 2 5 - not because you have to, just because you like to
  • We are unbossed in terms of technical management with 2 strategy meetings per year. In disciplinary terms you can expect a team of top people in a flat hierarchy. This means: hardly any politics but lots of tough technical debate with people who have deep expertise. Sometimes it takes time and nerves, but that is how we progress.
  • And yes, above-average pay and top-of-the-line technical equipment are part of the overall package, from home office to individual office, everything is possible

Most of our assignments come in the wake of cyber-attacks. The company has already been unfrozen by the attackers. You will therefore work in the late phases of crisis cases and, depending on the company, have a change window of 3-9 months to establish a functioning security organization.

We work as a team: you can always rely on the top expertise of your colleagues and have access to a large document library with examples. Coaching CISOs and their organizations, creating and reviewing policies, and preparing and accompanying security certifications are the meat and potatoes of your job. Your task is to use all of this in a meaningful way so that you achieve the maximum possible change in client organizations that, typically, are medium-sized, pragmatic, and owner-managed.
